Screen prints for sale

I made these prints weeks ago but the last month has been hectic to say the least so it has taken until now to get round to posting them. Screenprinting and me have a love hate relationship, when its all going well and you are making nice clean prints it's one of the most satisfying processes of making work, but when it starts going wrong its so frustrating to have to stop and figure out why. But its always worth all the cast offs when you get a succesful print, I love it and plan on incorporating more screenprinting into my paintings soon.

All these are images are screen printed by hand on  A3 250g heavyweight paper. They are all available in super limited editions, in different colours. Drop me an email me if you are interested in buying any.

First up is The Busker, I had a lot of fun drawing this piece and hope to have my own clapping monkey one day, for now I have these one colour seperations available in an edition of only 12 which are priced at £30 each.

Faithful Nicolette

Take one very old book along with a large pile of old comics and magazines... selectively chop them all up...feel a strange kind of guilt for mutilating such beautiful old objects... get over it...stick them all together so that they reinterpret the story in your own distorted version...et voila

I will be making more of these as and when I find another choice old book.

Drawing board

I found a load of old drawing boards and thought that they would make an interesting base for a painting, my thinking being I normally make loads of marks and drawings that get lost in the layering process so by using old drawing boards covered in marks this would lessen the amount of work for me, suffice to say this was not the case. Working with marks that weren't my own proved a bit of a challenge and I ended up covering alomost all of them with my own imagery, lots of imagery, so much that I buggered my wrist. All worth it though as I'm pretty happy with the results, but would I do it again? probably not.
