Counting down

 

I hope eveyone had a merry Christmas and looking forward to a great new year.I have been busy working at the kennels and so have had no time to paint,booo.So heres a collaboration I did about a year ago with my very talented girlfiend Andrea Beveridge.

Doodles

Started another big painting yesterday but its not finished yet so just for fun here's a few drawings I've done recently.

 I should scan everything on white paper as this photo looks a little grey.

Pencil pushing

Its been a long time since I have used a pencil, and after having an afternoon of graphite fun I forget why.Couldn't resist adding a bit of pen though.Here's a few examples of the days doodles.

Its always nice when you can start and finish a painting in the same day.

When is a painting finished

Have been working on this painting for a while, its been a fun piece to do and is possibly the biggest painting I have done to date, measuring in at 7 feet wide.And is it finished? I dunno.Which means probably not.

If I do any more, it will be lots of little details that no one apart from me would probably notice,but thats all good.

Off cuts

Started the first of these pieces using off cuts of wood I had lying around,just to fill the time whilst I was waiting on another painting to dry. I ended up having fun and liking the end result so have done a couple more, and will continue to make more during the breaks between bigger works.Watch this space for more coloured square goodness.

Well I finally got round to setting up a blog.The arctic weather outside has me holed up in my flat with time on my hands. 

Just finished a sketchbook that I started at the end of september,always a nice if slightly sad feeling.So thought i would share the good times.
