Exhibition pictures

Managed to get some better images of my work at the "it's a cut up" exhibition.

for more images of the show and some great work by the other artists exhibiting please follow this link. The show runs until the 12th of October so if you get the chance please pop in and have a gander.

Also managed to find a picture of one of the Too Much Fun Club murals we did at Kelburn Garden Party. It was our first time projection mapping onto a  live hand painted image which worked great and provided lots of exciting ideas for future projects. Sorry the image isn't the best quality but it was a festival after all

There is some great artwork on show, and mine :) also all the work is for sale so if you like my stuff there's a great opportunity to own a piece.

Snake-bite is back

So the wonderful people at Thistly Cross have re-released the delicious elixir that is Snakebite again, this time it will be widely available in Pubs, off licenses and supermarkets so keep an eye out for it. Even if youy don't like it you should buy it just for the amzingly stylish label that someone awesome must have designed :)

More props for the TMFC

Hey folks sorry for the lack of posts I have been busy working at the ECA and I'm also back in the studio which is exciting.

The TMFC have also been working on an album cover design for the mighty Chester P and Task Force so keep an eye out for that. In the meantime you can listen to a few tunes and see some TMFC artwork that Chester is kindly displaying on the site http://jcabnoxshuz.bandcamp.com/track/home-baked-cookies. And there is also a wee music video that features the same piece here.

My artwork on the television box

So I had a message from a friend telling me that they had just seen my mural on TV in a scene from the BBC's series Pramface, and so I checked on I-player and sure enough there it was. I like the idea that thousands of people will have unwittingly seen my monsters :)

here's a few more paintings from the cabinet of curious

Curious Cabinet

Here's the strange little paintings I did at the end of the term installed in a cabinet complete with an array of fimo monsters and diorama of their subterranean dwellings. More close ups to follow....

Leeds exhibition

I was kindly asked to be part of an exhibition at The Gallery At Flannels down in Leeds, focussing on Artists who create photo montage and assemblage. I am very happy to be part of this as not only will I be exhibiting alongside professional artists that I admire I also get to exhibit collage which I love. So make a note in your diary and hopefully I will see you there. For more information have a look on their website here and there is also a blog about the show here.

End of term weirdness

By the end of the final term I was slighlty fried by the stress and lack of sleep in the run up to the degree show so I decided to just make fun stupid work that I didn't have to think about too much. Here is one such painting, I will post more in the next few days

Lucky Jotterer

In other news I was kindly asked to be part of Lancashire based artist showcase The Lucky Jotter. I look forward to working with these lovely people and there is also a potential solo show lined up with them. Il keep you posted about that. In the meantime go check out their website and all the other great artists they represent here

Shaky degree show video walk through

Sorry for the lack of posts folks I have been on holiday up in the Highlands, which was fantastic and a much needed break after the madness that has been the last few months. But now its back to business as usual and I will be back in the studio asap so will have some new work up soon. In the meantime here is a shaky video of my degree show. I know it's crap quality but it helps give a better idea of scale etc ....
