The evil twin

I had so much fun painting "I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice-cream" that I decided to paint a friend for it, but an evil friend.....

91 x 32 cm

Ice-cream cone of dooooom.....

 check out the red sides,oooft...

I have recently fallen in love with enamel paints, lush thick shiny goodness. So in between bigger works I have painted a ton of these wee circles, here's a few examples for your perusal....

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice-cream

So this painting started life as an off cut from a bigger board, its an odd shape which I liked and decided to utilise. As there was no plan at all for this piece the composition was tricky but worth the effort it's turned out to be one of my favourites. As you have probably guessed I love cartoons but always rooted for the alleged villain.
This piece is 63 x 23 cm acrylic,emulsion,spray-paint and marker on board.

In a nutshell

I have been playing around with arranging still life set ups with the intention of then painting them, but it ended up that I was satisfied with the photographs being the final outcome so I now plan on getting a few blown up and framed.

Expect more of these as I love playing around making daft set ups, little things make me happy.

Radio silence

Yes I am alive and still making lots of work, sorry for the silence its been a crazy few months. Due to the ceiling collapsing in our flat we had to move house in a hurry and as a result haven't had internet at home for ages. I'm currently working hard on the pieces for my degree show, the pressures on but I'm ok with the way its all going, although I have no life outside of the studio at the moment so I have a ton of work which I will post here asap.
As its been so long since my last post I can't remember what order I did everything in so expect random posts. First up there is currently an exhibition of the too much fun clubs work, including individual and collaborative pieces for your perusal. Here's the link with more info.

Along with painting everyday I have done a few illustration jobs, one for Thistly cross cider in particular was a lot of fun. I would of liked to have more time on it as I only had an afternoon but hey...

Whilst I organize photos of my recent work here are a few shots of my chaotic studio space, note the slate grey wall it may be a feature of things to come.
